WSMC Educator Support Fund
The Washington State Mathematics Council funds this program through fees collected by offering clock hours at mathematics conferences and inservices in Washington. The WSMC Educator Support Fund will award money to support initiatives submitted by WSMC Members. Individual award amounts from $50 to $500 will be made. All applications that meet the guidelines below will be considered.
Application criteria and procedures:

The amount of requested support should total $50 to $500.
Activities must support WSMC goals, and may include but are not limited to:
mathematics professional development,
mathematics conference attendance,
mathematics professional learning communities,
the purchase of manipulatives or other instructional materials.
The WSMC Educator Support Fund can support expenses related to registration, travel and lodging expenses, and the cost of teacher and/or student materials. The funds cannot be used for pay, stipends or substitute costs.
The application must include:
The applicant’s name, email, address, and school name.
Contact information for the applicant’s supervisor, including name, phone and email.
A statement of need.
A Project Description, limited to one half page. Please note that WSMC may publish the Project Descriptions in our quarterly publication Washington Mathematics.
The budget for the project.
If applicable, a list of any materials to be purchased through the project.
After completion of the project, successful applicants will be asked to provide a short summary of the project’s activities, and the impact on students, teachers and/or math teams.
